Living Pinterest

In the past several months I have jumped on the bandwagon and have become completely addicted to Pinterest. I could waste hours...possibly days...maybe weeks just browsing through all the delicious food and lovely DIY projects. In an attempt to be as creative as Pinterest makes me FEEL I have been challenging myself to try something new each week. Dinner at my house has been much more exciting...and delicious...and our waistlines show it. Baking is an entirely new hobby of mine now which is absolutely terrible because I have no self control.

With that said this week I plan on making these :

Just looking at the picture makes my mouth water! Coconut plus lime in scone form MUST equal heaven! (recipe here)

And this is my second project:

It is an adorable photo of toy cars on vinyl. While vinyl probably will not be happening this week I will be pulling out some of the husbands old matchbox cars and taking some pictures to print for my toddlers room. I am totally excited to see how this turns out. (project found here)

Post 83: Unmotivated Monday

(photo from Etsy, click image for info)

And that is exactly how I feel.

Gaaaah, it is one of those days where I wake up...scoot far enough down the bed to put my feet on the floor...but I simply cannot find the energy to pull myself away from the sheets... even though Gus has made it entirely too clear (to the entire neighborhood) that it IS "poddy" time.

Post 70: I'm Back!

So, I am finally back home. Alive and well despite the stress that my husband and the airlines put me through in the past 24 hours (my husbands ID expired while we were on vacation).
Anywho, it will probably be a couple of days until I get back into the swing of things. I have grocery shopping, ungodly amounts of laundry to do, and since my dog spent a week at the kennel I will have to remind him that he must relieve himself outside and not on the rug. bah. With that said here is a picture or two from South Carolina!

Magnolia Plantation: Once a rice plantation now it is all swampy and beautiful, annnnd the place where Swamp Thing was filmed haha! (oh, and home to giant killer mosquitoes)Unitarian cemetery: I was told that they believe once we die we return to nature that is why they let everything go natural in the cemetery. It looked beautiful and a bit creepy.Creepy crawlers (I was assured it could NOT bite me that's the only reason I was able to go through with this...it was a few inches from head to butt)I have a bazillion pictures soooo I am sure you will see many more (whether you want to or not, hehe). Buuut I must get back to reality for now.

Post 28: First Bloom of the Year!

So spring is here and summer is creeping up on us. I woke up this morning to find my first Lilly bloom of the year! Isn't it lovely?

My husband must think I am a insane, I woke him up and made him go outside and check it out with me early this morning as i proceeded to have a little photo shoot. I guess I am a bit of a nut, but the fact that any plant survives in my care is pretty phenomenal. Thank goodness these flowers are so resilient :D
