Post 179: Fancy Fun DIY Project

I was browsing through some blogs this morning and stumbled across this fun little project at Ticklish From A Distance. Now, if I can ever get through my never ending to do list I would love to get started on this and see how it goes...I am sure some of you ladies have some Mardi Gras beads you could make some good use of ;p

I think it looks so cute outdoors. Perfect for a flower garden.

You can find the tutorial here.

Post 110: So We Are Adding a Bathroom...

The man and I have decided the time has come to add a bathroom to our humble home. Someone started adding one some 20 years ago, installed an exhaust fan and it never made it any further than that. Soooo what is now our awkward 7'x8' catch all room will soon be our lovely little second bath, thank goodness! I was looking for inspiration for our small space but these pictures have me daydreaming of the day we win the lottery (that we dont play)...

I am in love with this. Is it a pool? Is it a tub? Both?! Would you ever be able to leave this space?
And this bathroom looks so warm, cozy, and homey....sigh I love white, and I also love large open windows near beautiful bathtubs....which means I need to move to a more remote location... (at least my neighbors would probably think so)
I love the chandelier in the bathroom look....but looking through pics it definitely has to be done right or it just looks silly.

Well I have to get started on prepping the room for the plumber and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be toooo outrageous!

Post 85: Costume Client Numero Uno

Isn't this picture fantastic! I kind of feel sorry for the kid in the costume on the left...That time of year sneaking up on us fast aaaand this year I have some costumes to make for some tough clients. I am not real sure how they will turn out since I haven't sewn much children clothing without patterns...and I am 500 miles away from home so I have to get it right in the first try!
My first client is my youngest sister, Briley (4 yrs) who will probably be the pickiest of them all. She has requested a Supergirl costume. She is an absolute nut. She doesn't have a shy bone in her body, and she has never met a stranger...Supergirl will be just perfect! Annnnd I am sure halloween has to be her favorite holiday of the year because this girl is passionate about her candy.
If the costume dosent turn out to be a failure I will share it with you soon.

WELCOME HOME GUS!

Gus is a hybrid dog called a "Daug" and is 1/2 Pug 1/2 Daschund. I acquired him over Memorial Day weekend as an Anniversary gift from my lovely husband! Anywho, I was excited and needed to share. Once I get him trained and settled in I will be back to blogging and Etsy-ing!

I also posted a new clutch last night and hope to get another up today, check out my Etsy.
