Post 119: We partied like it was 1999

10 years ago......we were nerds.

Leanne of Folk Craft on the left and me on the right HA!

Those were the days...I'd like to think in these past 10 years our tastes have been a bit more refined. Buuut if you take a look at our Etsy shops Folk (Leanne) and Red Planet (mine, duh) you can still clearly see our personalities hehe

Post 101: Another GIVEAWAY @ Folk Craft!

I. AM. EXHAUSTED.
And have to pry my eyes open just to type ....I have spent the entire day trying to organize my mess...A few months ago I moved my work space from the guest room to the office/living room. I did this thinking that I would be able to keep my eye on the pup and not feel so secluded from the rest of the house when I was working on things.... Bad idea. Don't even try it. My house was looking like a tornado! Soooo, after spending several hours on cleaning and organizing I started working on the fam's Christmas gifts. (which gets me soooo excited) Aaaanywho I think my house is back to square one...I really need to work on this...

Oh and now the reason I started this post in the first place...Not only do I have a GIVEAWAY buuuut my BFF Leanne at Folk Craft is also having a giveaway! This lovely plaid clutch is perfect for fall!

It is so easy to enter! And soooo worth it!

With that I say gooooood night.

Post 68: Giveaway at Folk Craft!!

My lovely friend Leanne of Folk Craft is having another Giveaway! Just take a look at these Sweet Barrettes!

I say it is totally worth Entering! Aaaand, if I were YOU I would also take a look at her Etsy, Folk.

With that said I have 3 (yes 3!!) days until I am on the beautiful sandy beaches of South Carolina, I am so excited I cant hardly contain myself. That, or I have consumed entirely too much coffee this morning. But, probably a mix of the two. So, now I must use this energy to mow down my weed garden in the back yard before the neighbors start to complain...

Post 36: So I was feeding my Etsy addiction...

And I found myself on Etsy Chat which i love! Another level of Etsy addiction...

Then I was browsing through Folk's shop (as I regularly do) and came across this beautiful shrug and I had to share it with the rest of you!!

(click on pic for link)

I am in love! Can you believe it is only $14.00?! *sigh* It would be so cute with a white tank, chunky necklace, blue jeans and white heels (i have obviously been drooling over it all night)...I need a smaller rib cage.

Post 11: Monday, Monday

It seems as though every time my in-laws visit I am out of commission for a couple of weeks. Catching up with everything around the house and my shopping habits take awhile, therefore, Etsy and Blogger were pushed to the back burner.
In exciting news (for me at least) I made my first (and second) Etsy sale!! Lovely Gemma Joy bought my Pepperland Wristlet and Miss Leanne of Folk Craft! purchased a mobile home decor plate! So those two ladies made my week! Annnd I HIGHLY recommend you visit both of their Etsy shops.
With Mother's Day rolling around and my need for "shopping therapy" I did make a couple Etsy purchases last week. I bought this beautiful cherry necklace from Girl Tuesday Jewelry for my Mother-In-Law.

Annnd I also had to buy these quirky little cards from Time2Cre8 because who doesn't love a rhinoceros?

Post 2: Out like a lamb....

So here it is the end of March...going out like a lamb...or a winter blizzard. It is all the same right? It is the joy of living in the Midwest...unpredictable weather.
Due to the ice and snow I found that I managed to sleep away half of my weekend and accomplish nearly nothing. Although, I did dust off the acrylic paints and took them for a spin just to remind myself I am in no way meant to paint with acrylic.

(my tiny painting of a kansas)
I can never seem to get it just right. Being a bit of a perfectionist makes it even harder but my husband tries to remind me that I am just absolutely nuts and shouldn't be so hard on myself. I think he is just trying to deal with the emotional breakdowns that take place when I become insanely aggravated.

So that's the update as far as I go.
On another note, I had a friend who was awesome enough to mention my wristlet in her blog (http://www.folkcraft.blogspot.com/). I find it flattering coming from a friend who possesses more talent than I could even dream of! So I thought it fitting I share some of her LOVELY items! Aaaand since I was complaining about my lack of painting skills I only find this one appropriate...

I love love this painting. I have to mention Ms. L is one of my favorite artists ever!
I also have to mention this cute cuff. I have an obsession with buttons! And this clearly feeds my obsession while looking sooo cute and stylish!

Well, I could go on forever but I think everyone should check out her beautiful shops at http://www.folk.etsy.com/ and http://www.sugarpickle.etsy.com/ !
